  Came to Boone to celebrate my brother in law's graduation. My family who lives here said Pepper's is a staple and we had to stop in, so we decided to grab some lunch. We were sat in the bar area and our server was Jessica. D. Took about 5-7 minutes to be greeted. My boyfriend ordered a beer and that ended up coming before our actual drinks. They showed up about 5 minutes after that. I ordered a "make your own sub". My order was as basic as it gets, with turkey, lettuce, onions and mayo. After about 30 minutes we received our food and of course, mine was wrong. I never received a refill on my drink either. 30 minutes after we were finished eating, we were still waiting on our bill. I had to get up, go to the front and ask for it. The man at the front didn't really seem to care that I had to come ask for it. He said "your server will bring it to you". 10 minutes later our bill shows up. She says "take it upfront and he'll cash you out". So we bring it up front and that same man says "no. Your server will take it" and shoos us back to our table. Another few minutes passes and he tells us from across the room that we were supposed to cash out at the bar. The ONLY helpful person was the bartender who cashed us out. He apologized and gave us a discount. I am honestly so disappointed and even though we have family in this area and they love Peppers, we will NEVER be back.
